Terms & Conditions of Hire

Effective Date: 14/08/2026

Welcome to Tiny Travellers. We are committed to providing clean, safe and high-quality baby and toddler equipment to help make travelling with little ones easier. By placing a booking with Tiny Travellers, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


1. About Tiny Travellers

Tiny Travellers provides baby and toddler equipment for short-term hire throughout Jersey, Channel Islands.

All equipment is professionally cleaned, sanitised, safety checked and inspected before every hire.


2. Minimum Hire Period

  • The minimum hire period is 2 days.
  • Hire charges apply from the agreed delivery date until the agreed collection date.

3. Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • Full payment is required before delivery unless otherwise agreed.
  • Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received.
  • Tiny Travellers reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary.

If Tiny Travellers is unable to fulfil a booking due to circumstances within our control, we will offer either:

  • A full refund; or
  • A suitable alternative item, where available and agreed with the customer.

4. Delivery & Collection

Tiny Travellers delivers throughout Jersey.

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate delivery details.
  • Ensure someone is available to receive the equipment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.
  • Ensure equipment is available for collection at the agreed time.

If Tiny Travellers is unable to complete a delivery or collection because incorrect information has been provided or access is unavailable, additional delivery charges may apply.


5. Airport Deliveries

For airport deliveries customers must provide:

  • Airline
  • Flight number
  • Arrival date
  • Scheduled arrival time
  • Mobile telephone number

Tiny Travellers will make every reasonable effort to monitor flight arrivals using the flight number provided and adjust delivery times where possible.

Customers are responsible for notifying Tiny Travellers of any changes to their travel plans as soon as possible.

Tiny Travellers cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by airlines, ferries, airports or adverse weather.


6. Hotel & Holiday Accommodation Deliveries

Tiny Travellers is pleased to deliver to hotels, self-catering accommodation, holiday homes and Airbnb properties.

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • Their accommodation provider agrees to accept delivery or provide access.
  • Tiny Travellers has the correct accommodation name and address.
  • Any room numbers, key safe codes or access instructions are provided before delivery where available.

If access cannot be gained because permission has not been arranged or access details are unavailable, Tiny Travellers will make every reasonable effort to rearrange delivery. Additional delivery charges may apply where a second journey is required.

Tiny Travellers cannot be held responsible for delays caused by accommodation providers refusing access or being unavailable to receive the equipment.


7. Complimentary Set-Up Service

Where requested and where access is available, Tiny Travellers is pleased to assemble selected equipment including:

  • Travel cots
  • Bedside cribs
  • Moses basket stands
  • High chairs

For safety reasons Tiny Travellers does not:

  • Install stair gates.
  • Install car seats.
  • Install bed rails.
  • Install blackout blinds.
  • Attach equipment to walls, windows, furniture or vehicles.
  • Carry out installations requiring tools or permanent fixings.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring equipment is correctly installed and safely used.


8. Equipment Condition

Every item is professionally cleaned, sanitised and inspected before every hire.

Customers should inspect equipment upon delivery.

Any concerns should be reported within 12 hours of delivery and, where reasonably possible, before the equipment is used.

If no concerns are reported, the equipment will be deemed to have been received in good condition.


9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Use equipment only for its intended purpose.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Supervise children at all times.
  • Keep equipment clean and dry.
  • Take reasonable care of all hired equipment.
  • Return all equipment and accessories supplied.
  • Report any faults or damage immediately.

Equipment must not be altered, modified or repaired.


10. Safety

Parents and carers remain responsible for supervising children at all times.

Customers agree to:

  • Read and follow all safety guidance and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Stop using equipment immediately if it appears damaged or unsafe.
  • Contact Tiny Travellers immediately if equipment becomes damaged during the hire period.

Car Seats

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

  • The car seat is suitable for their child.
  • The car seat is correctly installed.
  • Their child is correctly secured before every journey.

Tiny Travellers does not install car seats or accept responsibility for incorrect installation.

If a hired car seat is involved in any vehicle accident, however minor, it must not be used again and Tiny Travellers must be notified immediately.

Stair Gates

Tiny Travellers supplies stair gates but does not install or fit them.

Customers are responsible for ensuring stair gates are correctly fitted and secure before every use.

Bed Rails

Customers are responsible for ensuring bed rails are correctly fitted before use.

SwimBest Swim Vest

The SwimBest Swim Vest is a buoyancy aid and is not a life jacket.

It must only be used under constant, close adult supervision and must never be relied upon to prevent drowning.


11. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

No security deposit is required.

Customers remain responsible for all hired equipment during the hire period.

Normal wear and tear is expected and will not be charged.

Charges may apply for:

  • Lost or stolen equipment
  • Broken or damaged items
  • Missing accessories
  • Cracked plastic
  • Torn fabric
  • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
  • Excessive staining
  • Smoke damage
  • Pet damage
  • Equipment requiring specialist cleaning

Please return equipment in a reasonably clean condition.

There is no need to wash bedding or fitted sheets supplied by Tiny Travellers.

Additional cleaning charges may apply where equipment is returned with:

  • Heavy staining
  • Excessive food residue
  • Mould
  • Smoke odours
  • Excessive sand or mud
  • Bodily fluids requiring specialist cleaning

Outdoor equipment should be returned free from excessive mud, sand and salt water. Where possible, please rinse beach equipment with fresh water before collection.

Photographs and details of any damage will be provided before payment is requested.


12. Late Returns

Late returns may affect other customer bookings.

Additional hire charges may apply where equipment is unavailable for collection at the agreed time.


13. Cancellations & Travel Disruption

Customer Cancellations

  • More than 7 days before delivery: Full refund
  • 3–7 days before delivery: 50% refund
  • Less than 72 hours before delivery: No refund

Flight & Ferry Delays

Tiny Travellers will make every reasonable effort to adjust delivery times where possible.

Hire charges remain payable for the original booking period.

Severe Weather & Travel Disruption

Tiny Travellers is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by adverse weather, airline disruption, ferry disruption, industrial action or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

As equipment has been reserved specifically for your booking, hire charges remain payable.

At Tiny Travellers’ sole discretion, we may offer a credit towards a future booking, valid for up to 12 months, subject to availability.


14. Force Majeure

Tiny Travellers shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, government restrictions, power outages or other unforeseen circumstances.


15. Equipment Availability

In exceptional circumstances, Tiny Travellers reserves the right to substitute hired equipment with an equivalent or higher-quality item where the original product becomes unavailable.


16. Liability

Tiny Travellers takes every reasonable care to ensure all equipment is clean, safe and well maintained before each hire.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.


17. Privacy

Your personal information will only be used to:

  • Process your booking.
  • Arrange delivery and collection.
  • Contact you regarding your hire.

We will not sell or share your personal information except where required by law.


18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.


Customer Agreement

By placing a booking with Tiny Travellers, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
  • Agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
  • Accept responsibility for the hired equipment throughout the hire period.
  • Agree to pay reasonable repair or replacement costs where applicable.
  • Will supervise children at all times while using hired equipment.
