At Tiny Travellers, we understand that cleanliness and safety are essential when hiring equipment for your little one.
Every item is thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and safety checked before each hire, so it arrives clean, fresh and ready for your family to use.
We take great care to maintain our equipment to a high standard and follow the manufacturer’s care and cleaning instructions for each product.
Before Every Hire
Before an item is delivered, it is:
- Thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
- Safety checked
- Inspected for cleanliness and condition
- Checked for signs of wear or damage
- Checked for missing or damaged parts
- Prepared and securely packaged for delivery
Any item that does not meet our cleanliness, condition or safety standards will not be hired until it has been appropriately cleaned, repaired or replaced.
Our Cleaning Process
We use cleaning methods and products appropriate to each item and always take the manufacturer’s care instructions into consideration.
We use Dew cleaning and sanitising products, which are designed for use in environments around children and families. These products are used as part of our cleaning process where appropriate, alongside other suitable cleaning methods.
Depending on the equipment, our cleaning process may include:
- Steam cleaning suitable hard surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising plastic surfaces
- Cleaning with suitable Dew products
- Spot cleaning fabrics and upholstery
- Washing removable fabrics and bedding
- Washing bedding and mattress protectors using a suitable non-biological detergent
- Thoroughly drying items before inspection and storage
All products are used in accordance with their instructions, and equipment is allowed to dry completely before being stored or prepared for its next hire.
Manufacturer Care & Safety
All equipment is cleaned and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s care, cleaning and safety instructions.
We do not use cleaning methods or products that could compromise the materials, safety features or integrity of the equipment.
Safety-critical components are checked as appropriate for each item, including:
- Harnesses and buckles
- Brakes
- Wheels
- Frames
- Fittings and fixings
- Other moving or safety-related components
If an item does not meet our required standards, it will be removed from hire until the issue has been resolved.
Safety Checks
Cleanliness is only part of our preparation process. Before every hire, we carefully check equipment for:
- Signs of damage or excessive wear
- Missing or loose parts
- Safe operation
- Secure fittings and components
- Overall condition and suitability for hire
If we have any concerns about the condition or safety of an item, it will not be hired until the issue has been resolved.
Bedding & Sleep Equipment
Where bedding is included with your hire, all fitted sheets and mattress protectors are freshly laundered before delivery.
We want your arrival to be as easy as possible, so there is no need to wash the bedding before collection — we’ll take care of it for you.
After Each Hire
Once equipment is returned, it is checked before being cleaned and prepared for its next booking.
Where necessary, additional cleaning or stain treatment will be carried out to ensure the equipment meets our standards before it is hired again.
